Woke up to a warm, sunny day at Lake Cahuilla… gathered up and tidied up and headed out to our next destination; and our first ‘not a stop & go’. We’ve been to this place before and enjoy the variety of things to do (golf, pickle ball, walks, swimming, hot tub, and very nice surroundings). We’ll be here until the end of the month. You may remember the video I took of the Blue Angels last year; well this is the same place and we’ve already had a couple of fly by’s… It feels good to be back.
Friday, Jan 27th…. We’ ve been having some fun here. Caught up with some cruising friends we met in the Sea and who now have a winter park model here and we’ve met a few other nice folks as well. As you will see in the photos that follow, there’s lots to do here and even though the park isn’t as full as usual it’s still busy. We’ll be here, trying not to embarrass ourselves too badly on the pickle ball court and the golf course, until the first when we head to Boreggo Springs.
Oops, didn’t get this posted so will fill in a bit and then hit send. Sorry for the delay. We’ve had a mix of weather; not as cold as home is right now, but certainly cool and windy for here. Today (Monday the 30th), despite weather forecasts to the contrary, we have been blessed with drizzle, showers, rain, breezes and gusts of wind. It’s been a great day for reading and checking the mail. Tomorrow is our last day here and a busy one; the usual domestic chores and re-organizing the back of the truck for the umpteenth time (even Ricky’s getting tired of that exercise) and having both Ricky and Lucy washed and scrubbed clean so as to create a good ‘first impression’ at our next stop in Borrego Springs. Turns out the fellow who is going to be doing the vehicle washes is also a provider of tacos so we’re going to have a very different breakfast tomorrow (fish tacos ala car wash) and coffee. He said he’ll be here at 0730 so it’s an early start for us all.
Hope all is well with each of you and you’re enjoying each and every day. CJ
Some photos follow and include our site, the pickle ball court, our particular ‘street’ (Conestoga), the pool, the patio and the golf course.
